Warhol Portraits

« Back

This weekend I'm shooting portraits at the Morean Arts Center in the Warhol Portrait Factory. Here's how it works:

We shoot a picture of the subject against a white background. In Photoshop, we convert to greyscale, then increase the contrast and adjust the brightness to get a nice Warhol-like black and white image. The image is printed 13x13 in on an Epson 2200 on Epson Matte Heavyweight paper. Next, the subject adds their own color using a combination of crayons and watered down tempra.

Very fun!
