Inverse Square Law

The intensity of a point light source is inversely proportional to the square of the distance from the source. An object of the same size, twice as far away, only receives one quarter the light in the same amount of time.

ISO

The sensitivity of the film or sensor as determined bt the standards set by the International Standards Organization. In this standard, both artithmatic (ASA) and logarithmic (DIN) speed values are expresses in a single term.
