A few words on equipment

A lot of photographers are obsessed with equipment, well almost everyone and ok, I am too. But... gone are the days when I could get a $1000 assignment and spend $3000 on equipment. I don't have the hip new stylish equipment you see on some people's sites. I don't get stuff for free from the equipment manufacturers. I'm just like you and pay my own hard earned cash for everything I get. I've never liked equipment snobs and they generally only want to puff themselves up by showing off their fancy equipment. I say don't show me your equipment, show me your images!

I do have very good solid equipment that always works and gets the job done. You don't necessarily need a lot of equipment to get great results. You just need the right equipment to accomplish what you want. That's all that really matters :)

That said, a lot of people ask about the specific equipment they saw and/or used in my class, or want suggestions for stuff that works well for me. Here's my list:
